Who We Are
The Louetta Road Baptist Praise Team comes from many different backgrounds and musical experiences. Business men, business women, teachers, housewives, students, and others come together as one. Many have had loads of musical training; others have had very little but are still used just as effectively. What unites us is the spirit of Christ that has been placed within our hearts and the unquenchable desire to sing His praise.
We want to offer the Lord our best
Each week our choir rehearses Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. We believe this to be an essential part of not only membership, but to be prepared to lay the most pristine gift of praise before God. Our rehearsals begin with a time of prayer. Our prayer time is a time where we bear one another’s burdens and take each need, physical or spiritual before the Lord.
What we sing
There has been much debate over the style of music that is pleasing to God. Our choir is not locked in to any style, but we are anchored to singing the truthful message of God’s love expressed to the world through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as well as the exalted nature of the eternally existent three part Godhead. Our desire is to direct peoples attention upon a Holy God, a triumphant Jesus and a beautiful Spirit who stand ready to save, heal and empower those Christ died for.
